    Choosing the Right Food Combinations

Healthy eating Involves math. You have to subtract fat, counting calories, and figuring out portion control. The things you add to your food can add 200+ calories and you don’t even know It. The “extra” things you add to your food can either have the healthiest benefits or It could have the opposite effect.  “Adding just one food to another can make a tremendous difference in your total nutrient intake and offer significant health gains.”

When you choose the proper Healthy Food Combinations. Benefits ranging from stronger bones and better eyesight to a healthier heart and improved immunity.

Today I’m going to talk about some of my favorite food combinations and the health benefits It has.

Scrambled Eggs & Red Peppers

Benefit: Healthy Glowing Skin. By adding 1/2 of a Red Pepper to Scrambled Eggs you are giving your skin 100% of your daily recommended Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps keep your skin Hydrated so you aren’t going to get dryness or wrinkling.

Sandwich & Spinach

Benefit: Helps with Night Vision: By adding 4 small spinach leaves to your sandwich you are giving your eyes 20% of Vitamin A. Vitamin A helps you see In the dark. Besides helping you see In the dark Vitamin A helps protect your eyes from age-related macular degeneration, which can lead to vision loss.

For you to get the FULL benefit of the Spinach your sandwich can’t be loaded with unhealthy Ingredients. What I like on my sandwich Is Gluten-Free bread, Organic Applegate Turkey slices, Cucumbers, Tomato slices and a few spinach leaves.

Salsa & Chickpeas

Benefit: Can help you lose weight. Adding chickpeas to a light dip like salsa adds bulk without lots of calories and boosts your intake of protein, so you fill up faster and feel fuller longer. Plus, eating chickpeas regularly may also improve your overall food choices.

Tip: You can make fresh salsa and add a full can of chickpea or 1/2 can. This salsa Is full of flavor and overall Health benefits.

Burger & Ketchup

Benefit: Helps lower Cancer Risk. A tablespoon Ketchup may supply you a healthful dose of lycopene, an antioxidant that guards against various forms of cancer by blocking cell-damaging free radicals. Eating processed tomatoes (such as those in ketchup and tomato sauce) is best; cooking releases lycopene inside the plant cells, making it easier to digest.

Pasta & Parsley

Benefit: Helps build stronger bones. Adding parsley to a pasta dish with just six sprigs of parsley offers a fresh boost of flavor and delivers a full day’s supply of vitamin KResearch shows that it helps prevent fractures and may guard against bone loss.

Garden Salad & Canned Wild Salmon

Benefit: Helps with Brain and Heart Health. You can use canned or wild caught salmon. When getting can you want to look for one that has the least Ingredients and that Is In water, not oil. 3 ounces of canned wild salmon to your garden salad provides half of the weekly recommendation for healthy omega-3 fats. The fatty acids found In canned salmon are linked with improvements In heart and brain health. Choosing wild lowers your exposure to dioxin, which is a cancer-causing contaminant found in the feed given to the farm-raised
