Primer and why you should use it

You might have heard of primer before? If you haven’t primer Is something you put on before foundation but after moisturizer. Primer Is something I swear by. I use to wear makeup and after 2 hours my face would like an oily cake.

I didn’t understand why my makeup would move around on my face. I would think that I took hours to do a look just for It to melt off. I was at the drugstore and I saw something that says Master Primer. I really didn’t know what It did, but I’ve seen enough Youtube videos to know that I needed It.

This Is the first primer I bought and It has been my tried and true ever since.

20180303_161715                                        I got mine from Walgreens for $9.99

I didn’t know what I was missing until I used primer for the first time. When I was getting tips on what kind of makeup I should buy nobody told me about primer. So maybe that’s why I never thought about It before.

I’ve religiously used primer every time I’ve done my makeup. A few weeks ago I was doing my makeup and after I put on my foundation I realized that I forgot to put on primer. For the rest of the day, I didn’t like how my makeup looked. Maybe I put It Into my head that my makeup looked the way It did because I forgot to put on primer or maybe I was just over thinking It.

I will say this. Primer Is the one thing In my makeup routine that will never change. And I bet you’re wondering why Is primer so great, and what are the benefits, and why you should buy It? Well, I’m going to tell you why you need to go and get a primer for your makeup routine.

I think one of the main benefits of primer Is that It seals pores. If you have larger pores than you know finding a primer that makes your pores look smaller Is hard.

I use as you saw In the first picture I use the Maybelline Blur + Smooth. I think It’s a great choice. Obviously, you apply this before your foundation. I also think the Blue + Smooth gives you a great smooth base for the rest of your make up. I have some redness from food allergy breakouts and this primer does the job to blur out those imperfections. It also helps my makeup stay In place.

I would say It’s a buy. 10 out of 10 would recommend. There Is my small review.

A primer can soften your skin. Primer smooths your skin so It gives your makeup a flawless finish.

I know I mentioned this before primer gives your make up a flawless finish.

If you have sensitive skin and worried If primers will break you out well there Is good news. Most primers are non-comedogenic, which means It won’t clog your pores. At the end of this post, I will put some companies that are non-comedogenic.

Tips: Primers aren’t anti-aging. If you want to smooth fine lines you can use the Maybelline age rewind. I use the age rewind foundation and paired with the Blur + Smooth primer my skin looks flawless.

Some primers help with redness. Some can help with oiliness.

Primer can help make you look younger. They give your skin a smooth finish and some can even reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Primers do not fight acne, but they do help lessen the appearance. Certain primers can help with smoothing the area, but not totally concealing the area, so you want to use a concealer or color corrector to help.

My final reason why you should use primer Is that It can hydrate your skin. Besides using a moisturizer a primer that hydrates can help your skin from drying out. So If you have dry skin or you like to cake your face (not judging I do cake the face sometimes) using a hydrating primer Is the way to go.

These are some of the reasons why you should add primer to your makeup routine. Also,I hope you enjoyed my little review on the Maybelline master prime. It’s honestly the best affordable stuff I used.
