Starbucks TripleShot Energy

I wanted to do something different. The one thing that I notice that I don’t do enough of or at all are reviews. I want to give you my opinion on whatever i try. I spend money on it so if I don’t like it you don’t have to. Or you can still go out and buy and not like it or you buy and like it.  If you like this type of content please let me know. Feedback lets me know If you enjoy this type of content.

I was at Target when I first spotted the Starbucks triple shot energy drink. I’m a Starbucks fan and “usually” I can get behind new coffee products. For example, Starbucks recently (at least in my area) almond milk coffee drinks. I like my coffee to be dairy free ( I usually ONLY drink dairy when I am reviewing products). I was excited to try this coffee drink out. I take online classes and run amandaexplainsit full time so I need caffeine to full my VERY long day and night. I’m always in the market to try new drinks. So being the person I am I grabbed all three flavors before even reading reviews.

Today I tried the Caramel flavor and Immediately spat it out. It was one of the grossest coffee drinks I put in my mouth. Normally when I order Starbucks I know the amount of sugar and carbs because I have been ordering the same thing now for well over a year. A trenta cold brew black, light ice and no sugar. The Trenta Cold Brew I get only has 5 calories and 0 carbs and 0 everything else unless I add a sugar-free syrup then it’s still 0 calories and 0 carbs. So when I’m putting this much sugar into my body it’s usually to tell you to STAY AWAY from a product. I got curious to know some more facts and you will not be so surprised to learn that by consuming this entire can you are consuming 14% of your daily calories and your entire sugar for the day and then some. Women should only consume 25 grams of sugar for the entire day. This entire can has 30 grams of sugar.

I like it that Starbucks makes products for those people who want to experience Starbucks coffee but are afraid to enter the clusterfuck in every Starbucks store. The long lines, the unusual size names, the Chatty Cathys on their phones while ordering, the people sitting at tables with their laptops open like they’re doing work, the rookies who have no idea how to order (I’ve been there), the people who sneer at the people who don’t know how to order, the overplayed easy listening music, the low sound of the cappuccino machine, the people who stick their pinky finger out while drinking, and the people who AHHH after every sip can be an overwhelming experience for some. The brand new Starbucks TripleShot Energy + Coffee drinks are meant for those who aren’t willing to brave those elements, who might feel intimidated, might not want to deal with the crowds, might not know how to order (I get It the menu can be overwhelming) or those who might be lazy when it comes to making coffee because I know I can be.

Starbucks TripleShot Energy has almost as much caffeine as a bangenergy and 5-hour energy. Bangenergy has 300 mg for the whole can and 5-hour energy has roughly 200mg give or take a few mgs.
